Plastic Scuff Boards are twelve inches high and run around the bottom of the box walls. These sheets can take a beating and are easily repaired with basic tools. The upper edge is caulked shut to prevent moisture or dirt from building up behind the boards. With cargo pallets bouncing around in transit they can do some damage to the lower parts of the walls. That is where these boards come in. They can easily be stacked to cover even more of the box should the need arise.
Aluminum Scuff Plate
Designed to pair with our aluminum reefer floor; Scuff Plate starts with an L shaped piece that sits in the corner of the wall and floor. The portion sitting on the aluminum floor is welded in place to create a perfect water seal in the base of the box. Extensions can be set in the top of the piece to make it run up the wall as far as you might require.
If you decide to install our Checker Plate Floor you have the option of having the edges of the floor sheets bent upward along the wall. This forms a smooth corner that runs the length of the box. Like the floor, the wall sections will be secured with screws and the screws will be welded over to keep a perfect water seal.
